Heliotrope Hotel

It was a nice place and the price was right. The in-room amenities were lacking.

Great hotel in Bellingham, well appointed and clean rooms. Very comfortable bed and friendly staff. Contactless and very clean during these times.

was modest, clean, quite and met our needs. my only preference would had been a firmer bed, though that did not keep me from sleeping. i will surely stay here again.

Revamped City Motel into a much nicer “hotel”. Grounds are nicely landscaped. Rooms are small but very clean and feel like a normal hotel room.

The Heliotrope was not only an affordable, last-minute option for us near downtown, but it has a great comeback story as a 50s motel. The property and rooms are lovingly remodeled, with comfortable beds, furnishings, and fun pieces by local artists. Everything was clean and felt safe during phase 2 of COVID restrictions. We hope to return in early fall!

Nice. Clean. Remodeled. Parking was limited, and train noise at night was noticeable. But overall great place. I would stay here again.

The Heliotrope was a fun place to stay while in Bellingham. Considering the age of the building, the owners did a very good job with their updates. We did miss having a coffee maker in the room as the only coffee available was in the lobby. Soundproofing is a problem but they provided ear plugs for the light sleeper. And, at night, noise was not a problem.

Great location, quiet and comfortable at excellent price. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
