The lodge is located in a very cute / small community. Away from the city !! . Perfect & peaceful place to connect with nature ( if you are a nature lover) The city of Aspen is 1 hr away... I wish I could’ve stay a little longer.

The kindest thing I can say about this property is that it is extremely dated. I cannot understand how this hotel has received such high ratings.My biggest concern was the poor security. All the rooms are on the first floor and there is no bolt on the door--just a push-in lock which is easily picked by the most basic criminal. I dragged a chair in front of the door at night. No AC, so if you are hot, you have to leave the windows open. No cell service and no room phone so if there's an emergency you'll have to run to the office and bang on the door., Room did have a coffee maker and a small frig but no closet.

Beautiful riverfront property!

Beautiful place to stay! Right on the Crystal River, it was so peaceful at the end of the day to just sit by the river relaxing! We booked two nights, but loved it so much that we stayed another three nights! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!

Loved it!!

We enjoyed it a lot. Perfectly located for walking eating and shopping. We will return for 2-3 night stay. Loved our room and was right on the road said hi to everyone in town. Was Great.

My husband and I recently stayed at this lodge for our anniversary. We stayed from Friday evening thru Sunday AM. Check in was easy--had a key in an envelope with our name and room number on it outside the lobby-- no hassle! We really didn't have much interaction with any of the staff until we checked out (which was fine with us--we had everything we needed); all the staff were very nice. The room was comfortable, clean and cozy! Our room had a small kitchen and was stocked with everything we needed ie; plates, pots, pans, wine glasses, wine bottle opener :) etc. The room was very private and other guests were pleasant and quiet. We had a sliding door out of the room which led out to the hot tub, sitting area and river. Absolutely gorgeous! We had a wonderful time at this lodge and would definitely recommend it!
