SookePoint Ocean Cottage Resort

This place is a piece of Heaven on Earth! We look forward to coming back again....

The apartment was beautiful however not having power was not. I understand that things happen but in preparation for that a flashlight and matches should exist in the apartment. Also we were unable to cook dinner and this place is very secluded so it’s a drive to get anywhere and after a long day we didn’t feel like driving again. When we called to report the lack of power they seemed annoyed. There was no compensation for the lack of power. So while the views are great be prepared to roll the dice for power.

Amazing property

This is an amazing place perched directly above the Juan De Fuca Strait. The views from early morning boats fishing for salmon, to magnificent sunsets and whale spotting are truly memorable. Close by there are many hiking trails and isolated beaches. A great place to relax and unwind. At a time of the pandemic, a perfect BC Staycation choice.

Beware that place is still under construction and will be for foreseeable future. We were put in a suite that was beautifully appointed, and nice view....but active construction all around. In 5 days I had two separate flat tires from a nail and a screw in the gravel!!! 57 steps to get down to suite with no elevator. Good workout each day but it’s a lot when you unload. Power went out one evening.....but no one on site after 5pm. And everything is electric including fireplaces. You phone a number and no answer for 45 mins. Can’t leave voicemail. No one brought flashlights, blankets ....they have no plans in place. Very disappointed let alone how overpriced it is.

Very nice condo directly overlooking the ocean. New property with high quality kitchen, bathroom, etc. Heated floor and kitchen faucet need fixing but that was a minor issue. Great place for some peace and quiet or a romantic getaway. Great walking / easy hiking at nearby regional park.

All was perfect! Amazing view, amazing unit (very well equipment, very comfortable), very quiet.

Place is amazing. Very clean and beautiful views. Definitely recommend We had trouble checking in though- we arrived at 445 no one was on site, no one was picking up our phone. We were stranded outside for 30 mins until the nice residents helped us out and our call was returned.

I want to keep this place a secret so bad, but the resort deserves the praise. The views are breathtaking. We watched the sun set right over the mountains our first night and were astonished. It was a lifelong memory being here. 5/5. Loved our stay here. As for some minor improvements, the place we stayed in was brand new. There was still some drywall in the bathtub! But it was not a big concern, we cleaned the tub ourselves and it was awesome. We wish the hot water was enough to fill the bathtub, but again, not a big issue. The drive into the resort is a bit of a rollercoaster, so please drive slowly. For anyone worried about nearby food, please bring groceries, you have everything you need here. A dinner with the windows wide open with that view is better than any restaurant can give you. We will be back!

View was nice,still in the construction phase but overall it was good for what they offered,
