Great location, nice hotel, wonderful showers

Fantastic location - walking distance to train station (the train connects to airport) and right next to a large walking district that goes quite a ways down the coast, with tons of coffee shops, meze bars, and restaurants with ocean views. The rooms are clean and modern, the beds were comfy, and this was the most glorious shower this American tourist experienced in all of Turkey.

This is a very nice hotel, centrally located. The employees are friendly and helpful. The room was a bit small. overall, a good experience.

Do not stay at this hotel! Staff is not friendly!

I read a lot of reviews regarding this hotel and most of the recent ones were positive. However, I don’t know how they can rate such hotel with positive reviews. I don’t often write reviews but let me tell you that you shouldn’t lose your money on this place. Staff is rude and don’t know any English which it’s odd because many tourists are English-speaking. They don’t help you with the luggage at all and there are some stairs if you bring a lot of baggage. They assume you know everything about the hotel, including wifi and don’t explain anything at all. I politely asked for an additional towel and they didn’t want to give me one. They were very rude when I asked because it was against their rules. The restaurant downstairs is empty or closed. I asked about tours and they couldn’t provide me any information. A/C was not cooling enough. The room is so small that it felt like a box. Plus, there was a big column in the middle of our room. The room also had a bad smell coming from the bathroom like rotten food. As I said, I don’t often write reviews but this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have encountered. I think it is a tourist trap in my opinion and many reviews are either fake or not well-experienced travelers. On a positive note, the location is close to train stations and to many restaurants. Try staying in another hotel such as Hilton or Renassaince. You’ll thank me later! Be sure to plan your tours in advance because this hotel doesn’t train their staff well.

Best hotel in Izmir city center

Parking storey is very closed, only 30 meter away and acceptable cost daily, only 25 TL. Hotel location is perfect. Cleanliness and comfortablity are excellent. I strongly recommended.

Comfortable stay at a great location

Hay hotel is situated in a very vibrant area and offers great variety of restaurants, bars and similar attractions. Hotel staff is very friendly and professional. Rooms are clean and very comfortable stay.

Chic and Comfortable; Excellent Value

In a great location, in the heart of a central, buzzing shopping and dining district, this is a small and chic hotel that has been trendily styled and equipped to a high standard. My room was small but comfortable; the bathroom was also very small and a bit restrictive for a broad-shouldered guy like myself, but very well designed to make best use of the space and equipped with the highest quality fittings that included the largest rain-shower head I've ever encountered in any hotel. Most importantly (for my showering enjoyment) the water was hot but controllable, and the water pressure was great too. Breakfast was a good selection that was regularly refreshed, although my one disappointment that fruit juices were only available at an additional cost. Overall, the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, always available yet largely unobtrusive. All areas seemed to be exceptionally clean. This hotel represented excellent value for money, and I wouldn't hesitate to return, or to recommend wholeheartedly.

This hotel's location is superb for the visitors in Izmir as one can easily reach the seaside and the beauty of Kordon with a 2 mins walk. On the other hand, city train (izban) is also close, reachable with a 5mins walk. All in all, I had a very nice experience as a guest. Thanks a lot and congratulations.
