Tru by Hilton Jackson, MI

The hotel has a very modern, cheerful boutique design throughout. Plenty of fun yet functional pieces, an inviting lobby with foosball tables. The amenities looked great however due to COVID they were all closed. Night staff left much to be desired and allowed kids to run rampant all over the hotel at ungodly hours. The day staff was cheerful, helpful and showed great concern over the previous nights’ chaos. Room was clean, functional and modern. The bed and bedding are great however, I strongly recommend bringing your own pillows....... in total, our family rented 4 separate rooms and all reported the same discomfort of the pillows. Overall a great value, pleasant hotel and will definitely use Tru again when we’re in the area.

My family and I have stayed at Tru for a second time. I wish there was microwave in the rooms. I forgot, however, that they charge a $25 fee in addition to the cost of your stay. Expedia should let people know of this charge ahead of time. I know it is only $25 but what if I didn't have it. The $25 was not deducted from my account but rather was placed on hold. The hold was removed when we checked out. Other than this, we love Tru. The beds are always comfy and clean and the whole room is the same.

It’s a cute hotel. The shower was dirty with pink mold like stuff in it and in the corners. Upon check in they gave ya two queens. We reserved a king. They ended up lowering the price for us which was nice. The walls are very thin. Ppl were jumping and yelling well into the night. Quite annoying. Health department closed their pool. Not sure why.

service at the front desk was excellent she was very professional. love the roms the 2nd time i have stayed there.

I loved that it was new and clean. However, be warned that the walls are paper thin. We had people in the room above us that were having a party. I finally called the front desk at 2am and they claimed no one was above us. Which I knew wasn’t true since I had already been up to that floor. They did offer to move us, but I didn’t want to wake my sleeping child and pack up at 2am so I just missed out on sleep that night. Luckily my daughter can sleep through anything.

Super clean hotel with nice staff

Upon my arrival I settled into my room to find a red and pink stain on the shower floor, I requested to move rooms due to the stain. Upon my next room, the pungent smell of cigarette smoke was awful, and there was black foot prints in the shower. I felt as though my room had not been cleaned when I found crumbs throughout the side table, as well as food particles on the edge of the bed frame. I stay here often and was very discouraged with the cleanliness of my room. Although out of the hotels control, the 4th floor was extremely loud and continued well into the night. I will be staying elsewhere moving forward.

Beautiful facility, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds and reasonable rates. We will definitely stay here again.
