Beautiful hotel

We stayed in Fretheim for one night before we took the cruise. The hotel is so conveniently located right next to the train station and the pier. We stayed in the America room and the interior was really classy and comfortable. Breakfast was included and there were a lot of options. Highly recommended this hotel!

Good spot for 2 night stay as part of a longer trip driving across Norway. Stayed in the American style rooms, spacious and comfortable with great balcony area to view the water. Not a lot of options in the town, but the breakfast and dinner options in the hotel were sufficient. Be aware that due to space you have to reserve breakfast times. Dining room was comfortable and the wait and hotel staff were great.

We will not be returning - do not have breakfast!

The hotel is a basic 3 star if you think of the room we had. We loved the fact that we could go out onto a back garden and enjoyed the view of the giant mountains at the back. What was upsetting is the quality of the breakfast. We were clearly served a left over from yesterday with the addition of some lovely fresh smoked salmon and deliscious locally baked bread. We were very disappointed and would not stay in this hotel again because of that. The veg were all brought out old slices lost its firmness clearly from yesterday and the salami was all grey brown old and i wont mention the pate... i lost my appetite by looking at the choice. Please sort your food! Its not great for the hotel of 4 star rating. Beds were lovely and comfortable and the clean. However, you can hear your neighbours every time...the insulation isnt there. Staff are friendly, no fault there. We were so glad we didnt stay for dinner there and instead went to the Marina restaurant down the road. Its a great Pity and not worth the rate we paid!

It would be nice to get your room before 4pm but I was aware of that on booking. It would also be good to order off a menu instead of a buffet for dinner and be told that before you get there.

Nice hotel but old.

1. Breakfast was so so. Not much spread. 2. Very friendly staff. 3. Very tired looking curtains. Feels dirty. Should change. 4. Should refurbish hotel and change some of the in room furniture. The shelf for putting luggage was creaking very badly. 5. The electrical points should be made more accessible for charging of handphones etc

The hotel room had a little throw back in time which I loved. Its main lobby was more modern while also a little rustic with the post and beam architecture. The food was very good and well priced for a hotel.
